The sun is shining here in Central Ontario, and my car is drivable again! I’m looking forward to a long weekend of hiking and walking the beach even if I do have to do it by myself. I’m getting used to the new normal of spending weekends on my own, and it’s not so bad most of the time.

What Does Productivity Mean To You?

When you think of being productive, what is the first thing that comes to mind?

I’ve come to realize that productivity, while universal in nature is also very personal. And each one of us probably has a different idea of what makes us productive. And even that can vary on any given day.

For me some days, it’s a productive day if all I do is get out an email. Other days I can whip up coloring books and digital paper packs and feel like I’m on top of the world, productivity-wise. And as I mentioned in yesterday’s email, sometimes when I’m feeling wiped, the most productive thing I can do is take a nap!

The truth is, productivity affects every aspect of your life, both business and personal. When you think about it, every decision you make and action you take affects your productivity somehow. Your health, creativity, journey in life, or direction of your business all depends on the type of productivity you produce.

The issue I find, is that too often we don’t decide for ourselves what productivity needs to look like for us. Reading books and listening to experts is all well and good, but you need to design a productivity plan that works for you where you are at now in your business and in your life.

And that’s all I have for you today… I actually started this email at 8 a.m. and the day has completely gotten away from me. Not sure I’ll get much work done tonight now.
